Senior currently at the Alameda Community Learning Center 

  • Taking honors government and calculus

  • Attended three courses at the College of Alameda

EXPERIENCE

 

Judicial Committee Clerk (Fall 2014- present)

  • Facilitated over 100 JC cases

  • Taught two 4 hour classes, regarding the judicial process and proposition of amending or creating new rules, during the 2014 and 2015 Constitutional Conventions

  • Thoroughly learned the ins and outs of the democratic judicial process

  • Campaigned and was elected as a JC clerk by the student body majority vote

 

Summer Staff Employee for ARPD (Summer 2015)

  • Led four field trips for children ages 6-11

  • Instructed children how to play baseball

  • Prepared activities/games for the city’s annual pool bash

 

Executive Board Member of the Alameda Youth Committee 

(Fall 2011 and fall 2014-present)

  • Only member to lead multiple Alameda Youth committee meetings as part of the executive board

  • Proposed and initiated a city beach cleanup (Spring 2015)

  • Organized props/costumes, scheduled work shifts, and created original scary scenes for the city’s Halloween haunted house

  • Ran the ARPD food booth and fun activities for children during the city easter egg hunt at Crab Cove (Spring 2015)

  • Organized and ran the craft booths created for children ages 4-10 at the annual ARPD Breakfast with Santa event

 

Vice president of Fashion club, sponsored by FIDM (Fall 2013- spring 2015)

  • Successfully organized two runway fashion shows showcasing peer-made original pieces

  • Designed and sewed many garments/pieces for the runway

  • Created the soundtrack for the fall fashion show of 2013

  • Solely designed the floorplan for both runway fashion shows

  • Helped successfully advertise each event using mixed media

 

Head of Public Relations for the ACLC class of 2017 

  • Organized marketing campaigns 

  • Edited and helped design the posters created for promoting special events 

 

Secretary of Toastmasters (Fall 2015- present)

  • Scheduled social and educational activities

  • Created and archive of weekly meeting notes and amendments

  • Emailed all participants on a weekly basis of future events, reminders and previous meeting notes 

  • Greatly improved public speaking skills 

 

Member of Interact (nation’s leading service club), supervised by Alameda’s Mayor, Trish Spencer (Fall 2014- present)

  • Created and distributed care packages to the Bay Area homeless

  • Helped organize a toys for tots charity month

  • Attended the autumnal Interact Fall Leadership Conferences in the Fall 2014 and 2015

  • Was exclusively selected to attend Interact Power camp

 

ACCOMPLISHMENTS/CREDENTIALS 

 

  • A 4.0 student since 6th grade and will be graduating in 2017

  • Became legally CPR/ AED/ First Aid certified after training with Alameda Recreation and Parks Department Employment Program

  • Won 3rd place at the ACLC and County Science Fair in 2014

  • Won 1st place at the ACLC Science Fair in 2013 and 2nd place in 2015
