In the next 20 years, I see myself working for a company in the art industry within a managerial/editorial position. I also see myself surrounded by family and friends and coworkers that resonate well with me. I am 37 years old, with a creative intellectual husband and two daughters only a few years apart from each other. We live in a nice house, near Portland or the Bay Area, that we could afford from the money I get each month as a landlord for the house I was raised in. This steady income supports the side creative projects my family and I work on and any travel we would like to do around the holidays. Each Christmas my husband and I would make a big deal and get the largest tree and spoil the kids rotten one day on the year. I see myself bringing the kids down to visit see their cousins and auntie in the Bay Area at least for Thanksgiving.

My plan to make this personal vision a reality is to never stop learning, working hard, and revisioning my path. I intend to get my masters in whatever field I decide to specialize in so I can always have an educational leg up on fellow competition. I will be currently applying to multiple Portland Liberal Arts colleges, so if I decided to move there the hassle would be minimal. Now to go into more detail about being a Bay Area landlord. When my parents pass away they will be leaving my sister and I a large estate that they payed off over the course of 25 years. We plan on taking advantage of this asset and not selling the property. Alameda is nationally ranked as one of the most expensives place to live, so there will be no shortage of people wanting to live in this area. This income will help support my family and I throughout any economic hardships that we may face. For that, I am very grateful.
